Alicia Chiang

I am a visual reporter, documentary filmmaker, and a graduate student at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.

Originally from Taiwan, I learned storytelling through field video reporting with Professor Curt Chandler during my 3-year independent studies at Penn State University. From pitching a story to interviewing, filming, editing, and doing motion graphics, I can work independently and collaboratively to complete long- and short-term projects. On top of that, I shoot solid news photos for assignments for daily newspapers like  Altoona Mirror and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

You can check out my photo and video works by scrolling through the tabs above and below. In the "Stories" tab above, you will find more refined, longer-form multimedia presentation projects I've completed. My capstone multimedia interactive, which features a 15-minute documentary and a 2,600 words story, is also available.

If you like my work, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me or shoot me some assignments. I'd love to learn more about you and work on stories that deserve to be heard and seen.
